SUMMARY:AI-ESC at the �ǿմ�ý: Grand Finale

DESCRIPTION:The ESC is coming to Basel\, and to celebrate\, the Research 
 Network Responsible Digital Society\, along with the �ǿմ�ý
 ’s AI-Initiative are organizing a Eurovision style competition featuring
  music made entirely by Artificial Intelligence.\n\nWe received 49 AI ge
 nerated songs from University staff and students\, the general public\, 
 and students from our EUCOR partner universities\, all hoping to be crow
 ned the AI-ESC Champion.\n\nAt the grand finale event on 12 May at 17:00
  in the main auditorium at Kollegienhaus\, a selection of these songs wi
 ll be played and all attendees will be able to vote for their favorite s
 ongs. While the votes are being tallied\, a panel discussion will be hel
 d to address the risks of AI for the music industry.\n\nRegistration\n\n
 Participation in the event is free of charge\, but registration is requi
 red. Please register now to watch and vote in the competition.\n\nDoors 
 open at 16:30. Bags must be deposited at the (free) manned cloakroom. ID
  checks may be carried out. Admission to the auditorium will be on a fir
 st-come\, first-served basis. The organizers reserve the right to deny a
 ccess/entry to the Aula and to move spectators to an overflow room.\n\n1
 5 Songs Representing 15 ESC Countries\n\nThe 15 "competing” countries at
  the AI-ESC were randomly selected from the particpating countries of th
 e Eurovision Song Contest 2025. As well as the Big 5 (France\, Germany\,
  Italy\, Spain and the United Kingdom) and Switzerland as the host\, 9 f
 urther countries were randomly selected from the two semi-finals as they
  will appear during the Eurovision Basel 2025.\n\nSongs representing the
  following countries will participate in the AI-ESC Grand Finale: Croati
 a\, Czechia\, Finland\, France\, Germany\, Greece\, Iceland\, Italy\, Li
 thuania\, Malta\, Poland\, Spain\, Sweden\, Switzerland and the United K
 ingdom.\n
