The Ðǿմ«Ã½ wants to be a family-friendly, equality-oriented, nondiscriminatory and accessible university. By promoting diversity in all its dimensions, the Ðǿմ«Ã½ is creating an attractive teaching and learning culture, and an innovative working environment.
Based on the input of its students, researchers, and employees the Ðǿմ«Ã½ has defined the following guiding principles, which are integrated in the Strategy (2022-2030) and the Action Plan (2022-2025):
- Employing more women
The Ðǿմ«Ã½ specifically promotes the careers of women. Effective gender equality tools and career models contribute to increase the proportion of women at all academic levels, especially at the level of professorships.
- Adopting a family-friendly approach
The family service provides students, researchers, and employees information and advice in the area of the compatibility of studies, career and family at the university.
- Protecting personal integrity
The Ðǿմ«Ã½ is committed to a respectful work culture in which the personal integrity of students, researchers and all employees is respected and protected.
- Strengthening intercultural skills
The Ðǿմ«Ã½ considers intercultural skills as an important qualification in the global higher education and scientific system and promotes existing competencies. This effort has been recognized with the Certificate of Intercultural Competence.
- Promoting diverse careers
The availability of individual support programs enables diverse career paths in studying, teaching, research, administration and management. The Ðǿմ«Ã½ is promoting an inclusive and life-phase-related human resource management.
- Facilitating accessible study
The service point Studying without Barriers – StoB helps students with a disability or chronic illness to study without barriers and offers a broad range of information and consulting services.
